Paviamostyn's (P_moss') Terms of Service for Commissioned work:
I) How to Commission:
- I am almost ALWAYS taking commissions. I do at some times have a list of backed up work and I complete work in the order it is taken/subset by the order it is paid in. Prices are often posted publicly and I offer commission auctions in Furbid roughly once a month.
- i) Contact: To inquire about a commission there are several ways you can contact me. E-mail is generally the best and I take commission requests through these two addresses:
- meredith_vo@hotmail.com
- mossfox@gmail.com
- I can also be contacted via note function on FA or PM on Second Life.
- ii) Payment: Prices for commissions are posted on the Commission Info Tab of my FA site. Prices are listed as $$+ and will vary sometimes from the listed amount if particularly detailed or difficult scenarios are requested. I have the right to raise or lower my rates at any point, but once payment is received I will not ask for any additional money for the work being done.(see changes and redo's for exception).
- For items under $40 payment is expected up front in full.
- Anything above $40 half payment is due up front, followed by the rest due upon the approval of the drawings before the image is finished and delivered.
- iii) Delivery: All digital Media will be delivered via e-mail as a high resolution Tiff file (suitable for printing for your personal collection). Prints can be ordered of any and all commissioned work for a small fee that includes printing costs and shipping.
All Prints and Real Media Commissions are sent via USPS Priority Shipping and the commissioner is responsible for the shipping charges.
II) Content
- i) Media’s: The medias I work most commonly with and am the most comfortable with include:
- Pen and Ink: Black and white images are done on heavy stock and inked with Micron Pigma Pens.
- Digital: This includes images drawn by hand (usually inked with the same pens as the pen and ink commissions but done on a lighter stock of paper) that are scanned and colored in Photoshop or a similar program OR images drawn directly into the computer and color using a program like Open Canvas.
- ii) Changes and Redo’s: Generally I like to send examples of progress once or twice before the final image is sent. The first is a pencil or ink drawing making sure the image is what the commissioner envisioned, then a color comp with flat color to make sure that the right colors are being used. Small changes like size discrepancies, forgotten accessories, and the like will be adjusted at the commissioners request to a degree. Images may even be redone up to twice to make sure that the buyer is satisfied. Excessive amounts of changes will not be made, and after so many alterations charges may be added for time spent. A simple fact to remember; if it is not in the description, it will not be in the image. Don’t be surprised if it is not.
- iii) Wills and Won’ts: Like every artist I do have a list of things I am willing to draw, as well as stuff I will not touch. Please LOOK at my galleries to see the type of things I tend to draw or draw for other people and you will get a good Idea for what I will do. Also, if you do not see an example of something and it is not on my list ASK before commissioning.
- Will draw:
- Images rating from G to X
- Straight, Gay and Lesbian Couples
- Herms and Shemales
- MPreg, Tentacles, Bondage, Size Differences
- I WILL draw Young/Infant Characters ONLY in G rated situations
NO EXCEPTIONS
- Will NOT Draw
- Scat or Watersports
- Vore, tame or gorey
- And violent acts
- Underage furs in compromising situations
III) Copyright and Reproduction
- i) Reproduction rights: Under US copyright law I have the right to make and sell reproductions of any image I create. I will on occasion sell prints of commissions I am particularly proud of and everything I create gets put in my yearly CD compellations. In addition I post copies to my webspace(s). If you commission me and do not want prints sold or your image distributed this MUST be stated before payment is made. If you do not wants prints sold but do not mind my including it in a compilation or posting it online I will respect that right and simply not do that. The commissioner however has NO right to take any image I created and sell prints themselves even if their character is the one portrayed UNLESS they have a Registered Trademark on said character.
- ii) Buying the Rights: If you do not wish the imaged used by me in ANY fashion or wish to reproduce and sell prints yourself then the rights can be bought as a separate and additional charge. The charge will be fair to the amount of work done as well as what I as the artist believe the reproductive value of the image is, but I will also take the commissioners budget into account. The original image will be sent to the commissioner as well as a signed and notarized document stating that I will not reproduce the image.
IV) Final Statement:
- All this considered I also have every right to decline a commission without explanation. Work is done for money and no work will be delivered without some form of payment. This IS currently how I make my living and require compensation so that I may pay bills and continue to feed myself. I try to perform my duties as an artist for hire in the most professional way I am able and I expect clients to do the same. Work will be delivered as quickly and skillfully as possible baring a major disaster. If you disagree with anything in this TOS then do not commission me.
